The world needs healing.  The gross domestic product of 41 of the world’s most heavily indebted countries – representing 567,000,000 people – is less than the total wealth of the world’s 7 most wealthy individuals.  Almost half the world – over 3,000,000,000 people – lives on less than $2.50 per day. 1,000,000 children – one in every two in the world – live in poverty.  400,000,000 children have no access to clean water.  270,000,000 children have no access to health services.  Early childhood death pervades the globe with 10,000,000 dying each year of preventable diseases.

But there is beauty in the world too.  Each year, young people around the world make the choice to pursue careers in the arts.  Many of these young people have a vision of how they can serve the world through their creative contributions.  The world’s young composers, in particular strive to uncover the world’s hidden sparks with their music.  However, so much of their music never sees the outside of a desk drawer.  These young artists need support.  Not only that, many of the world’s young musicians feel compelled to bring even more tangible good to the world that has offered them the opportunity to pursue their artistic goals.

Scores of Good was founded to heal the world through music.  With your help we can achieve that goal and more.  We publish and promote the music of the world’s up-and-coming composers.  But Scores of Good is not your traditional publishing house.  Here, our primary mission is bringing social and economic justice to the world.  So, 80% of all proceeds go directly to organizations that are working to further the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals.  The remainder goes to the artist and finally to cover publishing costs.
